MIBF Looks to Recruit Marshallese Female Basketball Players Living in US
The Marshall Islands Basketball Federation is seeking expressions of interest from female basketball players living in the US to play for the RMI women's team that will compete in the Micronesian Games in Palau, August 1-10, 2010. The number of Marshallese women players to be recruited from the US will depend on the locally available talent that is identified through Micro Games tryouts that began in Majuro on February 2 and funding availability. MIBF anticipates needing at least three off-island players for the team.
If you are interested and think you have the skills and can commit time to practicing and playing for a national team, please submit the following information to the MIBF officials listed below to be considered. Please note that this announcement applies only to Marshallese women basketball players. Because of the larger talent pool for men in the RMI, the Basketball Federation is not seeking male players living in the US. Male basketball players interested to tryout for the RMI men's basketball team must be in the Marshall Islands for tryouts that began in February.
To be considered, any off-island Marshallese female player must provide the following information. The deadline for submitting this information is Friday February 26, 2010.
1. Full name
2. Date of birth/age
3. height in feet/inches
4. weight
5. Marshall Islands passport number, date of issuance and date of expiration

6. Full names of parents
